How to become a paid family member of APOD

To become a paid family member of APOD it is important to note that in order to be a member you must be either the parent, sibling or child of somebody that is currently or has previously served in the Australian Defence Force.

 

Please see below how to become a Paid Member in a few easy steps.

 

Go to the APP store on your Apple or Android mobile device and download the APOD App to begin.

 

1. Welcome - Click through the welcome screens, then select "Join APOD Now" as highlighted in blue below. 

 

 

2. To Begin - From the options shown below select "I am an Immediate family member". 

 

 

3. Create an Account - Please enter your email address and select "Get Started".

 

 

4. Defence Connection - Please select from the options below how you are connected to a defence member.

 

 

5. Verify their details - Please provide the details of the defence member you are connected to In order to verify your application, then click "Next". 

 

 

6. Personal Information - Please fill out all the fields and the once complete click "Create Account".

 

 

7.  Email Verification - Please check your emails and find the OTP that was sent to you in order to verify your account.

 

 
 
 
8. Verify your Email - Enter the OTP that was sent to your email into the APP to verify your email address.
 
 
 
 
9. Password - Please enter the password that you wish to use ensuring that it consists of numbers, letters including a capital one and a special character and then click "Set Password".
 
 
 
 
10. Favorite Categories - Please choose your favourite categories from the list below and the select "Save Favourites".
 
 
 
 
11. How did you hear about us - Please let us know how you found out about APOD by selecting one of the options shown.
 
 
 
 
12. Please note that your nominated defence connection will receive an email asking them to verify you as an eligible family member, once this has occurred you will be able finilase your membership.
