Step 1. Click the “Signup” or blue join now button after selecting an option from the drop down menu on the APOD homepage. These are located on the top right and middle of the page.
Alternatively, you can type https://apod.com.au/login into your web browser to go directly to the signup page.
Step 2. Fill in your details on the form and select from the dropdown options to confirm your connection with Defence and eligibility to access APOD.
Step 3. Check your email account for an email from APOD with instructions to verify your email address and set up your password.
Tip: if you don’t receive the email from APOD within a few minutes, check your junk and spam folders. If you do not receive the email, it may be because you have entered your email address incorrectly and the email has bounced or been delivered to an alternative email address.
Step 4. Click the blue “Verify your Email Address” button in the email.
Step 5. Enter a new password in the fields provided (you will need to do this twice to confirm it is correct) then click the blue “Set Password” button to save your new password.
Step 6. You will now be able to login to the APOD website.
Please note: having an APOD login does not constitute membership, it simply confirms your eligibility to become a member.
Veteran Card holders need to enter a DVA file number that can be found on your Veteran Card to enable membership access.
If you are not a Veteran Card holder, please apply via the Department of Veterans’ Affairs online portal found at https://www.dva.gov.au/ . You can enable your membership access by going to My APOD (top right of the APOD website when they are logged in) and clicking the “upgrade” button in your Membership Plan to complete your membership.
